Those interested in careers in academia, research, pharmaceutical companies, or regulatory agencies will benefit most from this curriculum.
  • Doctoral students in the field of pharmaceutics study how various dosage forms, such as pills, capsules, injections, lotions, patches, and more, are created. Stability, solubility, and bioavailability of the medicine are the primary areas of attention. To assure the quality and longevity of pharmaceutical products, prospective Ph.D. students may choose to research medication stability in various storage settings and compatibility with excipients and packaging materials. Academics, research and development departments in the pharmaceutical business, academic institutions, government agencies, and regulatory authorities are all potential employers for those with a doctorate in pharmaceutics. Their contributions to the betterment of patient care and treatment results, as well as the advancement of medication research and delivery systems, are indispensable.
  • Doctoral students in medicinal chemistry perform studies to create new chemical compounds with the appropriate pharmacological characteristics. Ph.D. candidates can also study medicinal chemistry of natural compounds from plants, fungi, and bacteria. Pharmaceutical and biotechnology businesses, universities, hospitals, and government organizations are all good options for candidates with a Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry. They're vital to the progress of drug discovery, the improvement of patient care, and the enhancement of treatment options for a wide variety of disorders through the creation of novel drugs. Their studies are critical to the development of new medicines and the betterment of healthcare around the world.
  • Pharmacognosy Ph.D. candidates isolate and characterize bioactive chemicals from plants utilizing extraction and analytical methods. This research examines natural product biological activity to find medication leads. Pharmacognosy Ph.D. 's can work in academia, research, pharmaceutical, herbal product, and regulatory organizations.
