The College offers value-added programmes with the help of its highly experienced faculty. For
each programme, a VAC Coordinator is designated, taking responsibility for the smooth delivery
of the programme.
The objective of the value-added courses is to help students enhance their professional
standards. The College has a Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Development, dedicated to
fostering students' personality development and holistic growth.
CTLD focuses on developing quantitative, reasoning, and verbal abilities. It also enhances
students' development by nurturing their soft skills, making them more productive and better
equipped to meet employer demands and succeed in placement interviews, paving the way to their

The Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) is promoted, allowing the College of Nursing to offer a
variety of open elective programmes. This interdisciplinary approach offers students open

Simulation Lab:
The College of Nursing has a Simulation Lab equipped with the latest simulators to provide
training in critical nursing skills that mirror real situations and scenarios. This enables
nursing students to apply knowledge and skills in practice, not just through reading or
lectures, but through hands-on learning, or 'learning by doing.'

Hands-on training is given to the nursing students at our 1000-bedded super-speciality hospital of the University Medical College and allied urban and rural health centres. Nursing students attend OPD sessions in the hospital. During these visits, students visit different places under community connect and provide primary health services. Students actively participate in health awareness programs as well. The College of Nursing is also the founder of an authorised International Training Centre (ITC) in collaboration with GHPL (Medanta the Medicity) for the American Heart Association, with initiatives aimed at training healthcare professionals in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
