Teerthanker Mahaveer University is a young and dynamic university in the country
offering outstanding educational programs. Established under the Act of
Government of Uttar Pradesh (No. 30 of 2008) on 14th September, 2008,
the University stands committed to the ideals of Lord Mahaveer i.e. Right
Philosophy, Right Knowledge, and Right Conduct in planning and implementation of
its programs and policies.
The driving force behind this gigantic task of setting-up the University is
Hon'ble Chancellor Sh. Suresh Jain, who along with the Group Vice-chairman Sh.
Manish Jain has been continuously engaged in the
'task to create'
the right atmosphere to make it a world-class University - a University which
stands for humanism, tolerance, reason, innovations and search for truth.

Through its ten colleges and four departments of studies, the university has
seen significant increase in students' enrollment from 1065 in 2008-09 to over
7800 in 2010-11. The University by creating capacity for social, cultural and
economic development has emerged as a major player in strengthening and
diversifying the regional economy of the state of Uttar Pradesh. The university
in a short span of time has started getting the attention of the leading corporates for meeting their requirements for trained manpower.
