Teerthanker Adinath College of Education Hosts Scout Guide Camp
April 19, 2023. | The Scout Guide camp was organised at Teerthanker Adinath College of Education from April 15 to April 19, 2023. A grand celebration was organised on the final day to mark the Scout Guide camp conclusion. All student scouts set up their camps according to Scout Guide rules. Prof. M.P. Singh, Director of Student Welfare, was the chief guest of the event.
About the Scout Guide Camp
The Scout Guide Camp offers an excellent opportunity for scouts to engage in outdoor activities, learn valuable skills, and foster teamwork. Students enjoy camping, hiking, and various adventure activities while developing discipline, leadership qualities and connecting with nature.
The five-day event includes several events. During the cultural programs, Dr. Ratnesh Jain, Principal of Teerthanker Adinath College of Education, along with the others, lit the ceremonial lamp in front of Goddess Bhagwati. The programme was embellished by the presentation of a grand welcome song depicting Indian culture by B.Ed. students. Subsequently, Prof. M.P. Singh, Director of the Student Welfare Department, addressed the students. He presented an introduction to special activities and rules for future teaching careers. It was followed by stress about updating oneself and moving forward with time.
Later, the B.Ed. students presented a splendid dance performance, rejuvenating the program. Continuing the series, Dr. Ratnesh Jain, Principal of Teerthanker Adinath College of Education, presented an enthusiastic speech. According to him, “A teacher is the one in whose lap both development and destruction take place.” Today’s students lay the foundation of development. He said that a nation would be built through the sacrifice of action. Together, we must prove the Prime Minister's statement that “the nation is foremost for us.” Only then will change, and development, be possible.
Adding to it, Prof. Rashmi Mehrotra, Principal Faculty of Education, explained that discipline is the most significant thing in everyone’s life. It’s challenging to live a prosperous life without discipline. Having a few rules and regulations sets us apart from the rest of the world. Discipline is everything we do at the right time in the right way. It leads us on the right path. We follow discipline through various rules and regulations in our daily lives.
During the program, Gaurav Saxena and Akshat Saxena, directors of the Scout Guide camp, were present. Their guidance contributed to the programme’s success. It was truly an enriching experience for the students.
