TMU Kavi Sammelan 2023: The Cultural Night Featuring Well-Known Poets
March 18, 2023, The second day of the three-day Convocation ceremony of Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad filled everyone with curves, humor, and expression. It was a laughter-filled cultural night, known as “Kavi Sammelan”. Some notable poets such as Aman Akshar, Hemant Pandey, Shweta Singh, Arjun Sisodia, and Sarvesh Asthana graced the TMU campus. The special guest at the event was MLC Dr. Jai Pal Singh Vyast.
The event was full of comedy, sarcasm, and other heartwarming themes. All of the poets captivated the crowd with their amazing jugalbandi. The performances were captivating, but what really stuck out was the poetry by Dr. Vishnu Saxena. He made the most impression on the audience and was applauded for his lyrical poems.
On this occasion, the special guest, Dr Jai Pal Singh Vyast, said, “Moradabad is a cultural city of literature and the people have a deep connection with literature here. Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain agreed and added poetry to explore the diversity of our linguistic heritage.
The enthusiasm of hundreds of students in the event organized on the second day of the convocation ceremony at Teerthanker Mahaveer University was full of festivity. TMU campus ignited with loud applause and screaming laughter in response to these guest performances. It is noteworthy that Hon'ble UP CM Yogi Adityanath Ji had distributed degrees to the students in the university a day earlier.
TMU Convocation 2023 was not just a celebration of academic achievements, it is living proof of the quality of education that has been imparted to TMU students. The event was attended by Shri Suresh Jain, Chancellor, Shri Manish Jain, GVC, Abhishek Kapoor, Director of Administration, Dr Aditya Sharma, Registrar, Prof. Manjula Jain, Dean, Prof. M. P. Singh, Director of Students Welfare, etc. In continuing the three days carnival, the university also organized RockOn - VIII, the biggest music extravaganza and star night featuring Guru Randhawa and two rockstars, Afsana Khan and Saajz.
