Medical-Surgical Nursing is one of the core pillars of Nursing education and practice, encompassing comprehensive care of adult patients with various medical and surgical conditions across acute, critical, rehabilitative, and community healthcare settings. We strive to provide our students with strong theoretical knowledge, evidence-based clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and leadership qualities essential for high-quality patient care.
The department emphasizes student-centered learning through innovative teaching methodologies, simulation-based training, clinical demonstrations, case-based discussions, seminars, workshops, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Our dedicated faculty members mentor students to develop professional confidence, ethical values, effective communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
We are proud to offer internationally recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) training certified by the American Heart Association, enabling students to develop essential emergency response and resuscitation skills required in modern healthcare practice. The department is also equipped with rich and advanced Nursing laboratories featuring modern manikins, simulators, and updated clinical equipment that provide students with realistic hands-on learning experiences and skill enhancement opportunities.
We maintain strong rich clinical exposure and practical learning experiences. In
addition to
academics, the department actively promotes research activities, professional development
programmes, health awareness campaigns, and community outreach initiatives to enhance
holistic Nursing practice and healthcare service delivery.
