About MS (Master of Science) in ENT/Oto-Rhinlaryngology

MS (Master of Science) in ENT, also called MS in Oto-Rhinolaryngology (Oto = ear, Rhino = nose, Laryngology = throat), is a postgraduate medical programme that focuses on problems related to the ear, nose, and throat. In this programme, students learn how to check, diagnose, and treat different ENT issues like ear infections, hearing problems, sinus issues, throat pain, and voice disorders. They are also trained to perform simple to advanced surgeries related to these parts of the body.

Along with practical training, students gain knowledge about using modern medical machines and handling patients properly. After completing this programme, a person can work as an ENT specialist in hospitals, clinics, or continue further specialisation in this field. With the growing demand for ENT specialists due to increasing lifestyle-related and environmental health issues, this programme offers strong career prospects and opportunities for further super-specialisation in areas like otology, rhinology, or laryngology.

At Teerthanker Mahaveer University, students in MS (Master of Science) in ENT are prepared in a very practical and simple way, not just through books but by real hospital experience. TMU has its own multi-speciality hospital where students regularly see real patients, learn diagnosis, and assist in treatments and surgeries. This helps them understand real-life ENT problems clearly. Students practice on advanced machines like endoscopy, audiometry, and also use special labs like temporal bone dissection labs to improve their skills.
