UK NHS Chooses TMU in UP as Exclusive Partner for Global Mental Health Nurse Recruitment

Teerthanker Mahaveer University's College of Nursing is committed to providing quality placements and global exposure, as evidenced by the recent welcome of National Health Service (NHS) specialists from the United Kingdom for the Global Mental Health Nurse Recruitment Drive. Given this, an orientation session on career opportunities in Mental Health Nursing has been conducted with great enthusiasm. It was noteworthy that seven exceptional minds from the university were chosen by the NHS to potentially serve in the UK's NHS.


On May 2 & 3, the UK NHS dignitaries, including Sita Mckee (International recruit lead), Hetal Maniar (International recruitment advisor), Louise Doyle, and Dominika Szatkowska, visited the university for a two-day visit. The specialist team headed to the university auditorium for an informative orientation session, followed by a tour of the university campus, including TMU Hospital. Later, the recruitment drive began, open for UG and PG nursing students.


During the informative session, International Recruitment Advisor Hetal Maniar provided insights into the mission of the NHS, which is currently recruiting mental health nurses from around the world. Teerthanker Mahaveer University in Uttar Pradesh has been selected as the sole partner institution, with 7 students from TMU Nursing being selected based on their skills in the first round, out of a total of 15 students from across India.


It might amaze you that selected talents will be offered a package of up to 35 lakhs INR, along with incentives and relocation facilities, as well as a refund of the fee for computer-based tests and three months of rent and airfare. The service period will be from a minimum of three years to a maximum of five years, with the possibility of further service.


Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raghuvir Singh has revealed that the work of nursing has now gone beyond just patient care and has expanded to vast possibilities in the field of nursing. India is a young country and, therefore, Indian talent is being given priority for the noble profession of nursing. Prof. Ranghuvir stated that the world has confidence in the Indian education system. Indian youth have a strong desire to increase their identity based on hard work and also have immense self-confidence.


The unique talents of TMU students impressed the guests, and they admired TMU's vision, philosophy, and infrastructure. They also expressed their desire to maintain good relations with the University. The students' Indian culture-based performance won the hearts of all the guests, making it a memorable occasion for all. During their two-day visit to the leading private University in India, this team also had discussions with journalists.
