Nursing education must supply the nation with RNs prepared for a wide range of roles and responsibilities providing direct care to the patients in the hospitals, nursing homes, and patients' home; helping to safeguard the health of the community and school population; assisting with ambulatory care of individuals and families; performing clinical nurse specialist services; administering nursing services at both middle and top management levels; conducting nursing research, and providing professional and educational leadership to the profession.

The trends in nursing education are the cornerstone of the dynamic nature of the nursing profession viz. High Tech High Touch Approach; Simulations in Nursing Education; technology and Nursing Education; Advanced Educational Technology; Supervised Training by Nurse Educators; Educational Quality Assurance; Expanded Nursing Literature and Inter-professional Education. Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad is situated in an area of 140 Acres of land with an independent premise, exclusively earmarked for Teerthanker Mahaveer College of Nursing in lush green surroundings that provide a clear, open, and pollution-free academic environment. The College of Nursing, established in the year 2009, offers diploma, graduate & postgraduates programs in nursing to meet the diverse needs of the health care sector. All programs are recognized by both the Indian Nursing Council and the UP Nurses & Midwives Council.

Qualified and experienced full-time nursing faculty provides the right mix of inputs comprising of theoretical, practical, and clinical experience. This College is going to become one of its kind in imparting the liberal education (intellectual, moral and physical) of international standards with a view towards all-round development of the students; to promote professional education in the field of nursing to cater the needs of the people of state and country at large.

The College of Nursing has a very magnificent building with spacious classrooms, labs & a library. The library is well equipped with the latest books in nursing, regular supply of foreign and Indian journals, access to the internet and E-journals along with magazines & newspapers. There is a free Wi-Fi facility for all the students in the college.

Hands-on-training is given to the students at the 1000-bed multi Super-Specialty hospital at the University Medical College, as well as in allied urban and rural health centers. The students are always accompanied by their teachers to get direct supervision and support while working with patients and families.

Recently the college has been equipped with a Simulation skill lab with various simulators to provide Hands-On-Practice on critical nursing skills. The simulation lab provides an opportunity for the students to have the most advanced learning technology.

The college of nursing is also an inceptor of an authorized International Training Centre (ITC) for the American Heart Association with initiatives aimed at training health care fraternity on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular life Support (ACLS).
