TMU’s Faculty of Education Fresher’s Party 2024

Teerthanker Mahaveer University, one of the top private universities in India, recently hosted Fresher’s Party, a vibrant event marking the induction of new students into the Faculty of Education. The Fresher’s Party, a cherished tradition at TMU, served as a warm welcome to newcomers and set the tone for their journey ahead in the academic realm.

The event took place on February 15, 2024 at the Faculty of Education. Esteemed personalities including Prof. (Dr.) Manjula Jain, Dean of Academics, TMU, and Prof. (Dr.) M.P. Singh, Dean of Students Welfare, TMU graced the occasion as chief guest. The hosts for the event were the students from the B.Ed. and M.Ed. batches of 2022-23.

The Fresher’s Party witnessed the presence of all students from the B.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes along with faculty members from the university. The event commenced with Prof. (Dr.) Rashmi Mehrotra delivering a succinct introduction to the diverse academic programmes offered by the Faculty of Education. She extended her best wishes to the aspiring teachers, setting a tone of encouragement and support for their future endeavours.Following this, students showcased colourful presentations, exhibiting their talents and creativity. The audience was treated to captivating performances including dance and singing by students. A highlight of the event was the ramp walk, where Mr. and Miss Fresher from both the B.Ed. and M.Ed. first semesters were selected amidst much anticipation and applause.

The chief guest, Prof. (Dr.) Manjula Jain and Prof. (Dr.) M.P. Singh delivered inspiring keynote addresses. Dr. Jain emphasised the importance of diligence and dedication in shaping oneself into an exemplary educator. She stressed the value of hard work as the cornerstone of success in the teaching profession. Dr. Singh, on the other hand, highlighted the significance of regular classroom engagement in nurturing holistic development among students.
