Expert Sessions Highlighted the Future of Virtual Reality in Healthcare

The programme featured insightful sessions by experienced resource persons. Dr Aditya Joseph Parampill delivered an informative lecture on the introduction and importance of Virtual Reality in healthcare education. He explained how VR technology was transforming the medical field by helping students gain practical knowledge in a safe and controlled environment.

During his session, he discussed the growing role of virtual simulations in nursing and healthcare training. He also highlighted how VR-based learning improved students’ confidence, decision-making ability, and clinical understanding.

The practical sessions were conducted by Mr Robin Benjamin and Mr Subham, who provided hands-on training on various VR tools and simulations. Participants actively explored virtual healthcare environments and learned how modern technology could be used in patient care training.

Hands-on Experience Made the Workshop More Interactive

One of the major attractions of the Virtual Reality Workshop was the live practical exposure provided to the students. The sessions were highly interactive and allowed participants to experience real-time clinical simulations through VR devices.

Students learned different healthcare procedures in a virtual setting, which helped them connect classroom learning with practical application. The workshop created an engaging learning atmosphere and encouraged students to adopt innovative methods for improving clinical skills.

Faculty members also appreciated the initiative and recognised the importance of integrating advanced technologies into nursing education. The programme successfully promoted technology-driven healthcare training and motivated students to explore modern learning opportunities.

Conclusion

The Virtual Reality Workshop organised by the Department of Nursing at TMU proved to be a highly informative and skill-enhancing event. The workshop successfully introduced students and faculty members to the future of healthcare education through Virtual Reality technology.

By combining expert lectures with practical VR training, the programme helped participants develop better clinical understanding and practical competencies. The event reflected TMU’s commitment to promoting innovation, advanced healthcare education, and student-centred learning.
