TMU Diwali Celebration at Seva the Serving NGO

Diwali, the festival of lights, was celebrated with immense joy and compassion by the students of one of the top universities in India, Teerthanker Mahaveer University. In a heartwarming event organised by Ms Himani, Assistant Professor of the Department of Physiotherapy, students from BPT 3rd and 4th year came together to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children.

Event Details

On the auspicious occasion of Shubh Deepawali, the celebration took place on the 8th of November 2023, from 10 AM to 1 PM, at Seva- the Serving NGO in Baldevpuri, Moradabad. This NGO, dedicated to serving the community, provided a fitting backdrop for an event filled with joy and philanthropy.

Event Coordinator and Participants

Ms. Himani, the driving force behind the celebration, demonstrated exemplary leadership in coordinating the event. Her dedication and passion for community service were evident as she orchestrated a seamless celebration, ensuring every detail contributed to the success of the occasion.

Gifts were distributed to the slum kids of Baldevpuri. The joy on their faces as they received these tokens of love led to the success of the initiative. Gifts included essentials and recreational items carefully selected to bring delight. The 40 kids, aged between 4-15 years, enjoyed age-appropriate activities tailored by the students. This approach ensured that every child had a memorable and enjoyable experience.
