Teerthanker Mahaveer University Hosted Two-Day Alumni Workshop
In a two-day alumni workshop held on 4-5 October, organised by the Alumni Relation Cell-ARC of Teerthanker Mahaveer University and the Alumni Cell of the College of Nursing, one of the top nursing colleges in India, students were enlightened by experienced professionals about the trends, challenges, and solutions in nursing.
The event began with Dean Academics Prof. Manjula Jain as the chief guest, accompanied by the Joint Registrar of Alumni Relation Cell, Prof. Nikhil Rastogi, who inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp in front of Maa Saraswati.

The workshop took place at the College of Nursing. The esteemed Dr Manjula Jain graced the occasion as the chief guest, adding a touch of prestige to the event. The workshop was hosted collaboratively by the Alumni Relation Cell-ARC and the College of Nursing. The gathering included alumni, faculty, and students of nursing, creating a vibrant and informative atmosphere.
Purpose of the Workshop
The primary purpose of the workshop was to encourage students to focus on research work and clinical practices. Mrs. Himanshi, the Alumni and Clinical Coordinator of TMU Hospital, passionately spoke about the significance of these aspects in the nursing profession.
The workshop comprised various activities, including insightful speeches, engaging discussions, and informative presentations by distinguished alumni and faculty members.
Day One Highlights
On the first day, Ms. Jennifer, an alumnus and Assistant Professor of Rajshree Institute of Nursing, Bareilly, shed light on the scope of the nursing curriculum and opportunities post-nursing. Shri Abhishek, an alumnus and lecturer of the Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida, shared valuable experiences from his study time and emphasized the importance of faculty bonding.
Day Two Highlights
The second day featured Ms. Monica Vyas, Alumna, and Nursing Officer of Bilari, who shared her journey and insights. Mr. Manish, Shift charge of TMU Hospital, provided valuable information about job possibilities in various fields after nursing. Students were able to get insights into enormous career opportunities post-nursing.
Encouragement for Students
Alumni and faculty members motivated students to focus on research work and clinical practices, providing guidance on excelling in their academic and professional journeys. The alumni shared their study experiences and faculty bonding, offering inspiration to the current students. They introduced various job opportunities in the government sector, military nursing, and other health sectors.
