Science and R&D Strengthened by Artificial Intelligence Session Organised at TMU
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Teerthanker Mahaveer University organised an insightful Science and R&D Strengthened by Artificial Intelligence session at TMU on 06 February 2026. The session was conducted by the IIC in collaboration with the College of Agriculture Sciences, TMU-Business Incubation Centre and the AI Impact Summit 2026 initiatives.
The session was organised under the guidance of the Hon’ble Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, and academic leadership of the university to promote innovation, research awareness, and AI-driven academic development.
Aim of the Session
The primary aim of the session was to create awareness among students and faculty members about the role of artificial intelligence in strengthening scientific research and development activities. The session also encouraged students and faculty members to adopt AI-driven approaches for innovation and problem-solving in academic and research environments.
The session was designed with the following key objectives:
- To introduce participants to the applications of Artificial Intelligence in science and research
- To sensitise students towards AI-enabled research methodologies
- To promote innovation and interdisciplinary research under the IIC framework
- To motivate students and faculty members to integrate AI tools into R&D and academic activities
Expert Lecture on AI in Scientific Research
Dr Charu Bisht, Assistant Professor, served as the resource person and delivered an insightful lecture on how artificial intelligence is transforming scientific research and development. During the session, the speaker explained how AI tools help improve:
