One-Day Workshop on Stress and Anxiety Management at Faculty of Education

In a bid to address the growing concerns surrounding mental health, a one-day workshop on "Stress and Anxiety Management" was conducted by the B.A.-B.Ed. Department of the Faculty of Education, Teerthanker Mahaveer University.The workshop's keynote speaker was Mrs. Deepika Sharma, Assistant Professor from Invertis University, Bareilly. The aim of the insightful workshop was to equip students with practical tools and strategies to effectively manage stress and anxiety in their daily lives.


Key Highlights:

The workshop began with ceremonial lamp lighting, paying homage to Goddess Saraswati. Ms Ruby Sharma, the workshop coordinator, and host, skillfully presented a captivating overview of the event. The opening was further enlivened by a mesmerizing welcome dance performance by Miss Mahak Siddiqui, a B.A.-B.Ed. eighth-semester student. Mrs Poonam Chauhan, Assistant Professor extended a warm welcome to all participants and introduced the esteemed keynote speaker.

During her address, Mrs. Deepika Sharma shed light on the various types of stress encountered by adolescents. She emphasized the significance of stress management techniques and the ability to perceive stress as either positive or negative. The keynote speaker highlighted the importance of seeking guidance and externalizing emotions to effectively manage stress. The workshop was successfully coordinated under the guidance and support of Prof. Rashmi Mahrotra, the Principal, and the collaboration of the Education Department. Mr. Deepak Malik, Assistant Secretary, Dr. Harshvardhan, Dr. Ravi Prakash Singh, Dr. Mukta Gupta, Gautam Singh, Mahesh Kumar, and Dharmendra Singh, along with other faculty members, attended the workshop. The coordination of this event was efficiently handled by Ms. Ruby Sharma, Mrs. Poonam Chauhan, and Dr. Shifali Jain. In the end, Dr. Ashok Lakhera, the Department Head for B.A.-B.Ed., expressed gratitude in his vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all faculty members involved.
