IBM Day Celebration at TMU Inspires Students with AI and Innovation
College of Computing Sciences & Information Technology, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, in collaboration with IBM, successfully organised IBM Day Celebration on 9 April 2026. The event was conducted with great enthusiasm and witnessed active participation from students across various courses.
The celebration aimed to provide students with exposure to industry trends and practical knowledge. The event featured insightful sessions by keynote speakers Mr Aman Bakshi and Mr Rahul Batra, who shared their valuable industry experience. Their sessions helped students understand modern technologies and how they are applied in real-world scenarios.
Mr Rahul Batra delivered an engaging session on Generative AI. He explained how artificial intelligence is transforming industries and how students can build careers in this field. His session was easy to understand and highly informative, making complex concepts simple for students.
Mr Aman Bakshi conducted an exciting Data Dashboarding Battle. This activity encouraged students to apply their analytical thinking and data visualisation skills. It was interactive and allowed participants to learn by doing, which made the experience more impactful.
Engaging Activities and Student Participation
The IBM Day Celebration at TMU also included several fun and competitive activities. The event started with Mind Spot – Quiz Round 1, where students tested their aptitude skills. This was followed by technical sessions conducted by IBM Subject Matter Experts, which added great value to the learning experience.
The second round of the Mind Spot quiz focused on image recognition. This round challenged students’ observation skills and analytical abilities. It kept the participants engaged and added excitement to the event.
Another major highlight of the IBM Day Celebration at TMU was the Project Presentation segment. Students presented their innovative ideas and demonstrated their technical knowledge. Their creativity and efforts were appreciated by everyone present.
In the competition results, Yug Jain and Tanmay Sethi secured the first position in the Project Category. Dhruv and Satwik achieved second place, while Kunal, Tanushri, and Hridyanshi secured third place. In the Mind Spot quiz, winners included Dhruv Jain, Tanu Chauhan, Pranay, Pulak, Pranjal, Maan Garg, Dev, Ujjwal, Prince Anmol, Kritika, Shubhdeep, Yash, and Shashwat Mehrotra.
Conclusion
The IBM Day Celebration at TMU concluded on a joyful note, celebrating the achievements and efforts of all participants. The event successfully combined learning with fun and provided students with a platform to showcase their skills. The Dean, Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi expressed gratitude to IBM experts, faculty members, and students for making the event successful. Overall, the event was a great success and left students motivated and inspired for future challenges.
