Hindi Diwas Celebration at College of Paramedical Sciences

Hindi Diwas, celebrated on September 14th every year, pays homage to the Hindi language, one of India's most widely spoken and culturally significant language. To mark it, Teerthanker Mahaveer University celebrated Hindi Diwas with a unique and educational twist by theming it on emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Insights about Hindi Diwas

The event, organised by the One of the top Paramedical Colleges in India - TMU’s College of Paramedical Sciences, aimed to enhance students' knowledge of AI while celebrating the rich traditions of India.

It  provided students with valuable insights into the advantages and disadvantages of AI. AI's potential to automate repetitive tasks, enhance efficiency, and offer data analysis and insights for decision-making in various industries was a key focus, aligning with the event's mission to empower students with this knowledge.

How Hindi Diwas was celebrated?

The festivities commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp of Ma Saraswati by Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kumar, Vice-Principal of the College of Paramedical Sciences, who was also the chairperson of the event. He was joined by HOD MLT Prof. (Dr.) Ruchi Kant, who played a key role in coordinating the event, and other esteemed faculty members. Dr. Kanchan Gupta, with her poetic excellence, added an artistic touch to the event with her soulful poetry and inspiring words about the significance of Hindi in keeping cultural roots of India alive.

Key highlights of Hindi Diwas

The highlight of the celebration was the 90 minute Debate & Essay Competition, which revolved around the intriguing theme of "Hindi-Traditional Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence." This theme highlighted TMU's commitment to embracing modern technology while preserving the cultural and linguistic traditions that define India. A remarkable 80 students participated enthusiastically in the competition, showcasing their knowledge and talent.

Dr. Kanchan Gupta concluded the celebration with a heartfelt vote of thanks to the speakers, participants, and all those who contributed to the event's success. Her words resonated with the event's essence - celebrating India's rich linguistic heritage while embracing the possibilities of the digital age.
