CareCon 2.0: Two-day International Conference on Healthcare Research
The College of Nursing, TMU, successfully organised a two-day international Conference on Healthcare Research named CareCon 2.0. The conference was held on the theme “Prospects and Challenges for Early and Advanced Healthcare Researchers” and witnessed participation from experts, academicians, and researchers from across India and abroad. The event created a vibrant platform for discussing the latest developments, challenges, and innovations in nursing and healthcare research.
The Healthcare Research Conference began with great enthusiasm and academic spirit. The chief guest, Colonel Beenu Sharma, highlighted the importance of nursing as the backbone of the healthcare system. She emphasised that academic excellence alone is not enough to become a successful nurse. According to her, practical experience and compassion toward patients were equally important. She also encouraged students to keep learning, embrace innovation, and follow strong professional values.
The guest of honour, Dr Ashok Kumar Vishnoi, spoke about the growing opportunities in the nursing field. During the Conference, he mentioned that the demand for skilled nurses would increase rapidly in the coming years. He also announced that significant research funding would be provided to nursing institutions in Uttar Pradesh, which would help promote quality research and innovation in the field.
Key Discussions and Research Presentations
The Conference featured insightful sessions by renowned experts. Prof. Manju Chhugani advised students to follow the core principles of nursing and make the best use of every opportunity available to them. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. V.K. Jain, stressed that research plays a crucial role in the growth of any profession. Similarly, Dean of Academics Prof. Manjula Jain described research as the key to innovation and development.
During the Conference, the theme was presented by Prof. S.P. Subhashini, focusing on new dimensions of healthcare research. More than 30 research papers were presented, covering various topics related to healthcare services and nursing practices. These presentations reflected deep study and practical insights into modern healthcare challenges.
Another highlight of the Conference was the release of three important books related to healthcare research. The event also saw the presence of respected dignitaries, including Chancellor Suresh Jain, along with Veena Jain, Manish Jain, and Neelima Jain.
