White Cement & New Value Added Products: Salient Features & Applications

Department of Civil Engineering organised a one day technical webinar on "White Cement & New Value Added Products: Salient Features & Applications" to make the students understand and learn more about the material and its purpose. Students from second to fourth year were all present for the webinar dated on 23/04/2020.

The webinar initiated with a welcome speech of Dr. Ravi Jain (Prof. & HoD, Civil Engg.) in which he welcomed the key note speaker of webinar Mr. Anvesh k. Singh, Zonal Head (C.T.S.) - U.P. & U.K. JK Cement Ltd. (White Cement Div.), Mr. Pankaj Jha (Managing head, Bareilly- Moradabad Region, JK Cement Ltd.) and their team.

The Webinar provided the opportunity to the students to gain knowledge regarding white cement and other cement property enhancing products. Mr. Anvesh k. Singh shared his technical knowledge and experience with the students while letting them know how the white cement is used for Crack filling; Forming Designs; Bind Tiles.

Adding he explained the students how to control the seepage in rainy season and how to make walls damp proof by the use of value added products.

He also spoke about the importance of civil engineering and called it as a most "lively" Engineering branch. It was an interesting and interactive session where the students learnt many things and the seminar's success made it into many newspapers too.

At the end programme coordinator Mr. Ankit Kumar Sharma delivered vote of thanks to everyone.
