Vocabaddicts 6.0 at TMU Showcased Students’ Talent and Skills

The Centre for Teaching, Learning and Development (CTLD) of Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) successfully organised Vocabaddicts 6.0, an initiative aimed at enhancing students’ 21st-century skills, such as vocabulary, logical thinking, teamwork, and quick decision-making.  The event brought together enthusiastic participation from teams representing various faculties and colleges, creating a vibrant and competitive atmosphere on campus.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Director–CTLD, Prof. Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh. He said that Vocabaddicts is not just a competition but a strong platform for improving confidence and language skills. He also mentioned that students demonstrated excellent vocabulary and reasoning skills during the competition. The program was completed successfully with the support and blessings of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr V. K. Jain and Dean Academics Prof. Dr Manjula Jain.

Many respected dignitaries were present at the event, including Prof. Dr Amit Kansal, Prof. Dr Sushil Kumar Singh, Prof. Dr Navneet Kumar, and Ms Varnika Sharma. They encouraged the students and appreciated their efforts. The event was coordinated by Ms Anwesha Sisodia and co-coordinated by Quiz Master Mr Jatin Dua.

Multi-Stage Competition Showed Students’ Skills

The Vocabaddicts 6.0 at TMU was conducted in three stages. The first stage was the Screening Round held on April 10, 2026. A total of 800 students registered, and 183 students were selected for the next round. This showed the high level of competition among participants.

The second stage was the Quarterfinal Round held on April 15, 2026. In this round, 36 students performed very well and moved to the semifinal stage. Students showed strong vocabulary, logical thinking, and quick response skills.

The final stage, including the Semifinal and Final rounds, was held on April 20, 2026. Out of 36 students, the top 9 students formed three teams and gave outstanding performances. Their teamwork, communication, and presentation skills were clearly visible during the final competition.

Winners and Achievements

The results of the Vocabaddicts 6.0 at TMU highlighted the talent of students. The winning team was Team Triovision from B.Sc B.Ed (4th Semester), including Keshav Chaudhary, Manya Sharma, and Rimjhim Gupta. The first runner-up was Team Logophiles from B.Sc Computer Science (4th Semester), including Ragini Daksh, Tanisha Gupta, and Divya Vishnoi. The second runner-up was Team V Rangers from B.Sc B.Ed (4th Semester), including Deepanshi Pasrija, Sahar Farooqui, and Bhoomika.

During the competition, students showed excellent vocabulary, quick thinking, teamwork, and confidence. The audience also supported the participants and boosted their morale. The winning teams were awarded prizes and certificates for their achievements.

Conclusion

The Vocabaddicts 6.0 at TMU proved to be a successful and meaningful event. It helped students improve their language skills, confidence, and overall personality. The competition also showed that TMU and CTLD are committed to the development of students. Overall, the event provided a great learning experience and encouraged students to perform better in the future.
