Training Programme by ILBS Project: Echo, Viral Hepatitis, Complications & Management

Institute of Liver and Biliary, New Delhi collaborated with Teerthanker Mahaveer College of Nursing and organized a one day training programme for nursing students on viral hepatitis and its management on 03-12-2019. The teaching-learning activity was based on telemedicine with direct face to face interaction.
The programme initiated with a formal introduction of the guests, followed by a presentation about the pre-test through online means. A number of sessions started that included the Overview & Epidemiology of viral Hepatitis, clinical features & Lab Diagnosis of VH, Needle Stick injury and injection safety, management of viral hepatitis & its complications, and Bio-medical Waste Management.
At the end of the program a post-test presentation was conducted online which displayed the considerable knowledge gain of the students after the interactive teaching sessions.
In the valedictory speech Dr. Sapna Chauhan, appreciated the effort of college of Nursing, TMU in organizing the event. Akansha Bansal, Project Manager, ECHO also appreciated all the efforts taken for organizing the ECHO training programme at TMU and presented a memento to Prof. Shreenath K Kulkarni, Principal, College of Nursing, TMU & Mr. Prabhu J, Asso. Prof, TMCON.
