TMU's Physiotherapy Department Organises NISM Financial Literacy and Investor Awareness Programme
Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), Moradabad, through its Department of Physiotherapy, organised a NISM Financial Literacy and Investor Awareness Programme on August 19, 2026, in collaboration with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM). The programme was conducted at LT-603, Nursing Building, 5th Floor, from approximately 11:25 AM to 1:20 PM.
The programme aimed to enhance students' understanding of financial literacy, responsible money management and investment awareness, equipping them with practical knowledge relevant to their personal and professional lives.
55 Participants Attend Financial Awareness Programme
The session witnessed the participation of 55 individuals, including 52 students, one faculty member and one external participant. Students and faculty members of the Department of Physiotherapy actively participated in the programme.
The initiative provided an opportunity for students to develop a better understanding of financial planning and the importance of making informed financial decisions.
Prof. (Dr.) Asha Ram Tripathi Delivers Expert Session
The programme was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Asha Ram Tripathi, Banaras Hindu University, who conducted an informative and interactive session on various aspects of financial literacy and investment awareness.
The session began with the gathering of students and faculty members, followed by a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. Prof. Shivanee M. Kaul, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy, delivered the welcome address and introduced the resource person.
In her welcome remarks, Prof. Kaul highlighted the importance of financial awareness in students' personal and professional lives.

During the interactive lecture, Prof. (Dr.) Asha Ram Tripathi addressed several important areas of personal finance and investment. The session covered:
