Teerthanker Mahaveer University is committed to providing high-quality education along with experiential learning. With the same approach, the College of Fine Arts, one of the best fine arts colleges in India, recently took its students on an insightful educational tour to Lucknow. This immersive experience, spanning from 31st October to 3rd November, brought together BFA IIIrd and BFA IVth year students along with a team of dedicated faculties. The Beginning of an Artistic Odyssey

The tour commenced on 31st October 2023, with eager students boarding their bus. After a hearty breakfast in the heart of Lucknow, the students embarked on their exploration of the College of Arts and Crafts in Lucknow.

At the College of Arts and Crafts, students had the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of creativity. The visit encompassed the exploration of various art forms, from paintings to murals and sculptures. The interaction with the college's students and teachers proved invaluable, as they delved into new methods and techniques of art and craft. It was notable that the school has a rich history, tracing its roots back to 1st November 1892, and comprises various departments, including Fine Art, Commercial Art, Sculpture, and Art Master’s Training.

 A Glimpse into India's Art Legacy

The next destination on the tour was the State Lalit Kala Akademi in Lucknow. Lalit Kala Akademi, also known as the National Academy of Art, serves as India's premier institution dedicated to fine arts. Established with the mission to promote and propagate Indian art both within and beyond the country, LKA plays a vital role in nurturing artistic talents.

Architecture and Photography: A Creative Blend

The tour also ventured into the architectural marvels of Lucknow. Imambada and Bhul Bhuleyya, two iconic landmarks, were the focal points for architectural photography. As the sun dipped below the horizon, students indulged in a composition photoshoot, capturing the ethereal beauty of these structures.

The first day of the tour concluded with a captivating night photography session at the Clock Tower and Ambedkar Park, where students honed their skills under the shimmering night sky.

Exploring Nature and Culture

Day two of the tour was equally enchanting. It kicked off with a morning photo shoot at Imambada and an adventure through Bhul Bhuleyya, adding to the visual narrative of the city. Following this, students ventured into the fascinating world of wildlife at the Lucknow Zoo. They were introduced to the incredible diversity of animal species, allowing them to expand their knowledge of the natural world.

As the day wound down, students engaged in street photography, capturing the vibrant and bustling local markets. The tour not only fostered artistic and cultural exploration but also created opportunities for personal growth and bonding among students.
