TMU Promoted Road Safety Through ‘Uttarakhand Adventure Ride 2026

Teerthanker Mahaveer University played an important role as a knowledge partner in the three-day Uttarakhand Adventure Ride 2026 (third edition). The event was organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi, with the main aim of promoting adventure tourism and spreading awareness about road safety among youth.

TMU’s Role in Uttarakhand Adventure Ride 2026

The bike ride began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony and Saraswati Vandana, creating a positive and inspiring environment. During the welcome address, Dr Jatinder Singh highlighted the importance of such events in building discipline and responsibility among young participants.

Influencer Deepak Gupta and Indian Air Force representative Nikhil M shared their experiences and encouraged students to follow safe driving practices. They emphasised that adventure activities must always be combined with responsibility and self-discipline. The entire event was well managed by Vandana, Deputy Secretary of PHDCCI.

From TMU, Director-CRC Arun Rana shared the university’s achievements and its active participation in such meaningful initiatives. He explained how TMU continuously supports programmes that contribute to students’ overall development.

Focus on Road Safety and Awareness

A key highlight of the bike ride event was the strong focus on road safety. Chief Guest Sandeep Kumar Pankaj, RTO Enforcement Officer, Moradabad, stressed the importance of following traffic rules. He stated that life is very valuable and even a small mistake on the road can lead to serious consequences.

TMU’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) V.K. Jain also motivated students to actively participate in adventure activities but always kept safety as their top priority. He encouraged them to act responsibly and contribute positively to society.

Journey and Participation

As part of the Uttarakhand Adventure Ride 2026, participants travelled from New Delhi to Jim Corbett and then to Bhimtal. This journey was designed to provide adventure while promoting responsible driving behaviour.

Around 200 students participated in the event, mainly from the Paramedical and Physical Education colleges of TMU. The programme was smoothly conducted by Dr Madhav Sharma, while the Student Welfare Department played a crucial role in organising and coordinating the event efficiently.

Conclusion

The Uttarakhand Adventure Ride 2026 successfully delivered a strong message about adventure tourism and road safety. TMU once again proved that it is not only focused on academic excellence but also committed to social awareness and holistic student development. Through such initiatives, the university continued to inspire students to become responsible citizens while enjoying adventurous experiences.
