TMU Presents Nukkad Natak: “Women Empowerment”
Breaking barriers and inspiring change, TMU’s College of Fine Arts organised a Nukkad Natak on Women Empowerment on 26 November 2025 under the banner of Mission Shakti. This powerful street theatre initiative aimed to sensitise audiences about women’s safety, equality, and rights while promoting collective action towards a more inclusive society.
The performance, themed “Breaking Barriers, Building Empowered Women”, emphasised the importance of addressing societal stereotypes and injustices while motivating individuals to take an active role in empowering women.
Objectives of the Program
The Nukkad Natak was designed with the following objectives:
- Raise Awareness about Women’s Empowerment and Rights: Educating the community on issues affecting women in society.
- Challenge Societal Norms and Stereotypes: Encouraging reflection on traditions and beliefs that perpetuate inequality.
