TMU Organises Workshop on Leprosy Awareness and Innovations
Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), Moradabad, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the College of Paramedical Sciences, successfully organised a workshop on leprosy awareness. The event, "Leprosy: Breaking Myths—Innovations from the Masses," was held on December 23, 2024. It aimed to educate students and faculty about the realities of leprosy while promoting innovative approaches to its eradication.
Guest Speaker: Mr. Tanzeel Khan
The workshop featured Mr. Tanzeel Khan, Program Manager at the Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation (S-ILF), as the guest speaker. Mr. Khan brought valuable insights into the challenges faced by leprosy-affected individuals and discussed innovative strategies to combat the disease.

Event Coordination & Participation
Prof. Navneet Kumar, Vice Principal of the College of Paramedical Sciences, moderated the workshop, which was coordinated by Dr. Ruchi Kant, head of the Department of Medical Lab Technology (MLT). The session took place in Room 603, Nursing Building, 5th Floor, and participants received E-certificates for their active engagement.

An official approval letter from TMU’s College of Paramedical Sciences confirmed the university’s commitment to organising educational activities. The academic authorities endorsed the proposal to invite Mr. Tanzeel Khan for this session, ensuring a well-structured and informative event.
