TMU Organises Slogan Writing & Health Helplines Awareness Programme under Mission Shakti 5.0

Moradabad, October 28, 2025:
The College of Paramedical Sciences, Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), Moradabad, in collaboration with U.P. Start INUP (Government of Uttar Pradesh Initiative), TMIF, Ministry of MSME (Government of India), MeitY Startup Hub, and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organised a Slogan Writing Competition and Health Helplines Awareness Programme & Presentation Competition under the Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign.

The event aimed to promote women’s empowerment, safety, and health awareness, inspiring young female students to express their ideas through creativity, communication, and leadership.

Objective of the Programme

The initiative was conducted with the following objectives:

  • To spread awareness about women’s safety measures and health helplines.
  • To build confidence, communication, and creative expression among students.
  • To sensitise participants towards social responsibility and gender equality.
  • To encourage teamwork and leadership among young women through participation.

Programme Overview and Participation

Held at the Nursing Building, TMU Campus, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 141 female students and 11 faculty members from various disciplines, including B.Sc. MLT, B.Sc. RIT, B.Optometry, B.Sc. Forensic Science, Diploma in MLT, Anaesthesia, and OT programmes.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by student anchors Ms Anany Vaishney and Ms Adiva Naaz, setting an inspiring tone for the day.

The Chief Guest, Dr Jyoti Puri, Associate Dean (PhD Cell), Teerthanker Mahaveer University, delivered an insightful address on women’s empowerment, government helplines, and motivational themes celebrating women’s strength. She quoted:

“आपका ज़माना न ज़माना कुछ भी बोले, अपने घर में झंडा गाड़ दो।”
“नारी ही शक्ति है, नारी ही जीवन है।”

These powerful words resonated deeply with the audience, encouraging every woman to embrace confidence and self-reliance.

Organising Team and Coordination

The event was organised under the guidance of:

  • Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kumar, Chairperson & Principal, College of Paramedical Sciences
  • Prof. (Dr.) Ruchi Kant, Convener & HOD, Medical Laboratory Techniques

The core organising committee included Ms Vivechana (Coordinator), Ms Rashmi Pandey, Mr Yogesh Kumar, Dr Varsha Rajput, Ms Anshika Srivastava, Mr Deepak Katiyar, Mr Saurabh Singh Bisht, and Ms Shreya Thakral, who ensured smooth execution and coordination throughout the event.

Highlights of the Event

The highlight of the day was the student presentation and slogan writing competition, where participants showcased remarkable creativity and awareness on themes of women's empowerment, safety, and health helplines.

Notable presentations included:

  • Aishba (B.Optometry) – highlighted helplines such as 1091, “Sambaal”, and “Samarthya” under Mission Shakti.
  • Zoha (B.Optometry) and Mahak Afsan (BMLT, 5th Semester) – discussed the transformative power of education in women’s empowerment.

The judging panel, comprising Mrs Shikha Paliwal and Ms Saumya Tripathi, evaluated the participants based on content, creativity, and delivery skills.

Prize Distribution Ceremony

Winners of the competition were felicitated with certificates and trophies for their outstanding performances:

  • 1st Prize: Simran (B.Sc. Forensic Science, 1st Semester)
  • 2nd Prize: Farheen Zehra (B.Optometry, 2nd Semester)
  • 3rd Prize: Shweta (B.Sc. Forensic Science, 1st Semester)

Conclusion

The Slogan Writing & Health Helplines Awareness Programme under Mission Shakti 5.0 concluded with a vote of thanks to all the participants, organisers, and faculty members.

The initiative was a resounding success, inspiring young students to be socially responsible, self-aware, and empowered citizens. It reinforced the mission’s core objective of promoting women’s safety, empowerment, and awareness of available support systems.

Under the stewardship of Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kumar, Principal, and Prof. (Dr.) Shivanee M. Kaul, Head of Department & Nodal Officer, Mission Shakti 5.0 (Department of Physiotherapy, TMU), the event once again showcased TMU’s continued commitment to empowering women and fostering social change through education and awareness.
