TMU Organises Self-Defence Programme under Mission Shakti 5.0
Moradabad, November 4, 2025:
In alignment with the Government of Uttar Pradesh’s Mission Shakti 5.0 initiative, the TMIMT College of Physical Education, Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), Moradabad, organised a Self-Defence Awareness and Training Programme exclusively for female students at the Indoor Sports Complex.
The event aimed to empower young women by enhancing their physical confidence, situational awareness, and ability to respond effectively in moments of potential danger. A total of 16 participants attended the hands-on session led by skilled trainers from the Department of Physical Education.
Objectives of the Programme
The Self-Defence Programme was designed to:
- Create awareness about personal safety and preventive measures.
- Equip students with practical self-defence techniques for real-life situations.
- Build mental confidence, focus, and alertness to face challenges.
- Encourage proactive steps toward self-reliance and empowerment.
