Moradabad: The Teerthanker Mahaveer College of Law and Legal Studies (TMCLLS), a constituent of Teerthanker Mahaveer University, organised a Guest Lecture on Women’s Rights on 14th April 2026 at its Conference Hall under the ongoing Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign.

The lecture was conducted as part of the Women Empowerment – Awareness and Leadership Campaign, with active participation from 40 students of the 3rd and 5th semesters, including 35 girls and 15 boys.

Strengthening Legal Awareness for Women's Empowerment

The initiative aimed to promote legal literacy and empower students with knowledge of women’s rights and safety laws. The session focused on bridging the gap between theoretical legal frameworks and their real-world application, enabling students to become informed and responsible citizens.

Key Objectives of the Programme

The guest lecture was organised with the following objectives:

  • To enhance understanding of laws related to women’s safety, equality, and empowerment
  • To promote awareness of legal provisions such as domestic violence laws, POSH Act, and cybercrime regulations
  • To encourage students to become proactive advocates for gender justice
  • To build confidence among participants in recognising and asserting their rights

The session featured an insightful lecture by Dr Bishnanand Dubey, Assistant Professor at TMCLLS, who delivered a comprehensive overview of the legal framework governing women’s rights in India.
