TMU Organises Career Counselling Session for Female Students Under Mission Shakti 5.0
Moradabad, October 13, 2025:
Under the Mission Shakti 5.0 initiative, the Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) of Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), in collaboration with the Centre for Teaching, Learning & Development (CTLD) and the College of Pharmacy, organised a Career Counselling and Awareness Programme exclusively for female students.
The session aimed to empower young women with the right career direction, enhance their professional readiness, and foster self-confidence to thrive in a competitive world. A total of 33 female students and 2 faculty members participated in the event with enthusiasm.
Mission Shakti 5.0: Empowering Women Through Education and Awareness
Mission Shakti 5.0 is a flagship Government initiative dedicated to empowering women through education, awareness, safety, and self-reliance. Aligning with this vision, TMU’s Career Counselling session focused on providing career awareness, interview preparation guidance, and skill development strategies for female students, especially those pursuing pharmaceutical sciences.
Program Highlights
The awareness session commenced with a warm welcome and opening remarks by faculty members Dr Anuradha Pawar and Mrs Deeksha Verma from the College of Pharmacy, who highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering career readiness and women’s empowerment.
The resource person, Ms Gauri Takiyar, delivered an impactful and interactive lecture centred on the objectives of Mission Shakti 5.0. She elaborated on:
- Career planning and progression in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors
- Skill enhancement and its role in employability
- Interview preparation and personality development
- Goal setting and identifying one’s core strengths
Ms Takiyar encouraged students to utilise institutional resources and training opportunities available at TMU to build a strong professional foundation.
The session concluded with a Q&A and interactive discussion, where students actively shared their career aspirations and clarified queries regarding higher education and job opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.
