TMU Organises Career Counselling Session for Female Nursing Students Under Mission Shakti 5.0

Under the Government’s flagship Mission Shakti 5.0 initiative, the Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) of Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), in collaboration with the Centre for Teaching, Learning & Development (CTLD) and the College of Nursing, successfully organised a Career Counselling Programme exclusively for female Nursing students.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 89 female students and 3 female faculty members, all eager to explore career opportunities, enhance employability skills, and strengthen their professional outlook.
Objective of the Programme
The primary objectives of this awareness initiative were to:
- Guide students on how to prepare for interviews and excel in the professional world.
- Encourage them to become self-reliant, confident, and future-ready professionals.
Programme Highlights
The session commenced with a warm welcome to Prof. S. P. Subashini (Dean Nursing), Ms Viji Mol (Faculty, College of Nursing), and Ms Avnesha Sisodiya (Trainer, CTLD), who graced the occasion and motivated the participants.
Ms Avnesha Sisodiya, the resource person, delivered an insightful and interactive talk focusing on the goals of Mission Shakti 5.0. She emphasised the importance of career planning, skill development, and strategic goal setting for women aspiring to excel in the healthcare and allied sectors.
She further inspired students to:
- Identify and utilise their core strengths,
- Set achievable career goals, and
- Leverage institutional resources for continuous professional and personal growth.
The session concluded with an engaging interactive discussion, during which students shared their aspirations and clarified doubts regarding higher education pathways and employment opportunities in the healthcare industry.
