TMU Hosts “Harmony of Nav Durga’s Divine Power” Under Mission Shakti 5.0
Moradabad, 1st October 2025:The Department of Physiotherapy at Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) organised a cultural programme titled “Harmony of Nav Durga’s Divine Power” as part of the four-day Women Empowerment – Awareness and Leadership Campaign under Mission Shakti 5.0.
A total of 250 BPT and MPT students attended the event, with 131 girls and 191 boys attending. The programme aimed to connect the divine strength, resilience, and virtues of the nine forms of Goddess Durga with the modern spirit of women’s empowerment.
Objectives of the Programme
- To inspire students with values of courage, compassion, and resilience through cultural expression.
- To emphasise gender equality and highlight women’s contributions in building a progressive society.
Event Highlights
The second day of Mission Shakti 5.0 commenced with a Durga Maa Puja led by Prof. Shivanee M. Kaul, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy, along with faculty members. The puja invoked blessings and set a spiritual tone for the day.
The cultural performances that followed vividly showcased the nine divine forms of Goddess Durga, symbolising strength, wisdom, courage, and compassion. Garba dance sequences and thematic stage presentations creatively connected these qualities with the empowerment of women in contemporary society.
Students depicted how the enduring virtues of Goddess Durga continue to inspire women to overcome challenges and lead with determination across diverse fields. The event beautifully blended cultural heritage with modern messages of gender equality, encouraging participants to embody the spirit of Nav Durga in their daily lives.
Conclusion
Organised under the Uttar Pradesh Government’s flagship initiative Mission Shakti 5.0, the celebration not only paid homage to India’s rich cultural traditions but also reinforced the importance of recognising and supporting women’s power in shaping a just and progressive society.
The programme concluded with a motivational address by Prof. Shivanee M. Kaul, who extended warm wishes and urged students to embrace the divine spirit within every woman to build a more equitable and empowered future.
