TMU Hosted 21st Leadership Talk Series on Civil Services Success
Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) organised the 21st Leadership Talk Series-cum-Seminar to guide students about civil services preparation and career opportunities. The session focused on practical strategies, goal setting, leadership, ethics, and personal development. The event gave students an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and understand the journey from college to civil services.
The programme began with the inauguration of the session by Dr. Neha Anand, Assistant Director-Academics. The event was followed by the traditional lamp lighting ceremony and a warm welcome to the guests with bouquets.
Samrjeet Mishra, Chief Operating Officer at Vajiram & Ravi and a reputed faculty member of Indian Polity, addressed the students. He guided them on competitive examination preparation and explained important aspects of the Indian administrative system. His session helped students understand the importance of focused preparation and awareness of current issues.
Students Learned About Civil Services Preparation
The main attraction of the seminar was the special session by Shri Vikas Kundu, IAS, on the topic “From Campus to Civil Services: Your Roadmap to Success.” Kundu had secured All India Rank 27 in UPSC CSE 2025 and IPS All India Rank 288 in UPSC CSE 2024.
During his session, he shared his experiences and discussed important strategies for preparing for the Civil Services Examination. He explained the importance of setting clear goals, maintaining consistency, understanding the examination process, and developing the right approach towards preparation.
His guidance helped students understand how they could start preparing for civil services while pursuing their studies. The session also encouraged students to remain disciplined and focused on their long-term career goals.
Interactive Session Engaged Students
The seminar was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session. Students actively interacted with the experts and asked questions related to leadership, ethics, self-development, competitive examinations, and career planning.
The speakers answered the questions based on their professional experiences and provided practical guidance to the students. The interaction made the session more engaging and allowed students to discuss their individual concerns.
Faculty and Students Participated
Faculty members and students from several TMU colleges, including the College of Agriculture, Management College, Paramedical College, and Law College, participated in the programme. The event was coordinated by Dr. Neha Anand.
Dr. Varun Kumar Singh, Pradeep Verma, Dr. Sakshi, and others also contributed to the successful organisation of the programme.
