TMU CTLD Organises Management Development Programme on “Strategic Thinking for 21st-Century Leaders”

The Centre for Teaching, Learning & Development (CTLD) at Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) successfully organised a Management Development Programme (MDP) titled “Strategic Thinking for 21st-Century Leaders” at the TMU Campus, Moradabad. The one-day workshop, held from 9:30 AM to 4:45 PM, was designed to enhance leadership capabilities among corporate professionals, academic heads, and senior faculty through interactive sessions, simulations, and real-world strategy exercises.

About the Programme

The MDP focused on nurturing strategic foresight, adaptability, and innovative leadership approaches for modern professionals. Participants explored frameworks for developing a strategic mindset, mastering communication for influence, and applying simulation-based decision-making techniques.

This hands-on learning experience aimed to transform managerial thinking from operational to visionary, enabling leaders to make data-driven, forward-looking decisions in a rapidly evolving business and academic environment.

Programme Objectives

The workshop’s core objectives included:

Highlights of the Event

The event commenced with registration and welcome kit distribution, followed by Saraswati Vandana. The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, Director, CTLD, who also conducted the first session on “Strategic Mindset.”

The University Overview was presented by the Dean of Academics, followed by an inspiring Theme Introduction by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr. V. K. Jain, who emphasised the importance of visionary leadership in academia and industry.

The second session, led by Dr. Jasmine Stephen, focused on Strategic Communication, offering participants effective frameworks for persuasive dialogue and decision-making. Post-lunch, Dr. Dilip Dutt Varshney conducted an interactive simulation/game session to help participants apply theoretical insights in a practical context.

The day concluded with an MCQ-based assessment, feedback collection, and a Valedictory Ceremony led by Dr. Pankaj K. Singh, followed by high tea, networking, and a group photograph.

Participation and Eligibility

The MDP was open to:

  • Corporate Professionals
  • Faculty Members and Department Heads
  • Institutional and Industry Representatives

The programme included a welcome kit, lunch and high tea, and a certificate of participation for all attendees. Assessment was conducted through an MCQ-based quiz to reinforce key learnings.
