TMU Celebrates Hindi Diwas with Literary Dialogue and Hindi Fortnight

Moradabad, September 2025 — Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) observed Hindi Diwas with a series of vibrant events organised by the Faculty of Education and the College of Paramedical Sciences. The celebrations highlighted the cultural, literary, and linguistic significance of Hindi while inspiring creativity and expression among students.

Literary Dialogue at the Faculty of Education

The Faculty of Education hosted a special session on “Aaj ka Yuva aur Hindi Sahitya” (Today’s Youth and Hindi Literature). The keynote speaker, Dr Madhav Sharma, reflected on the evolving relationship between youth and literature, emphasising how Hindi literature continues to shape perspectives and emotions.

Guest speakers Dr Anant Bhardwaj and Dr Mani Saraswat (CTLD) shared thoughtful insights on the relevance of Hindi in contemporary times. Prof. M.P. Singh, Dean of Student Welfare, remarked, “Hindi is not just a language; it is our cultural heritage.”

The event saw active participation of students who performed poetry recitations, storytelling, and dance. Participants included Shankar Shah, Deepanshi, Aditi, Deepti, Poorvi, Ishika, Preeti, Namra, Manvi, and Malhat. The session was coordinated by Dr Poonam Chauhan, with stage anchoring by Prashant Adhikari and Manya Sharma, while Dr Vinod Jain delivered the vote of thanks.

Hindi Fortnight at College of Paramedical Sciences

Simultaneously, the College of Paramedical Sciences celebrated “Hindi Pakhwada: Innovation, Self-Reliance, and Expression.” The keynote address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Sushil Kumar Singh, Principal of the College of Law & Legal Studies and Chief Proctor, TMU, on the theme “Hindi Bhasha: The Foundation of Discipline and Values in Youth.”

Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kumar, Principal, College of Paramedical Sciences, chaired the event, with Prof. (Dr.) Ruchi Kant, HoD of Medical Lab Technology, as the convener and Mr Yogesh Kumar as coordinator.

Following the session, a series of competitions—essay writing, debate, and quiz—were held, with around 100 students participating enthusiastically. Judges included Dr Shivsharan Singh, Mr Deepak Katiyar, and Mr Akash Chauhan.

The event also featured active contributions by faculty and students: Saumya Tripathi (anchoring), Anshika Srivastava (decorations & lamp lighting), Saurabh Bisht (photography & technical support), Dr Pinaki Adak (reporting & attendance), Shivam Agarwal (certificates & prizes), and Dr Deepak Katiyar (report writing). Winners were felicitated with certificates and prizes.

A Celebration of Language, Culture, and Expression

The Hindi Diwas celebrations across TMU transformed the day into a festival of literature, culture, and expression. While the Faculty of Education’s literary dialogue deepened students’ sensitivity towards Hindi literature, the Hindi Fortnight at the College of Paramedical Sciences encouraged innovation, expression, and self-reliance.

The entire university came together to mark Hindi Diwas as a memorable celebration of language, culture, and national unity.
