TMU Advances Wellness and Ecology Through 'Green Yoga' Initiative
Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), Moradabad, marked a significant prelude to the International Yoga Day 2025 with a meaningful initiative—‘Green Yoga’—as part of its four-day Yoga Week celebration. Organised collaboratively by the Faculty of Education, Department of Physiotherapy, College of Physical Education, and the NSS Unit, this event embodied a deep integration of physical health, environmental awareness, and social responsibility.
Yoga, Cleanliness, and Greenery United in Purpose
The event, conducted under the UGC’s national directive, aimed at preparing for the 11th International Yoga Day observed on 21st June 2025. The day commenced with an enthusiastic campus-wide cleanliness drive, actively led by university students and faculty members alike.
- Participants contributed wholeheartedly to making the campus cleaner, reinforcing the core values of hygiene and public health.

The theme for this year’s Yoga Day, “Yoga for One Health, One Earth,” was aptly reflected in every activity, reminding all that yoga serves not just individual wellness but planetary well-being.

The event was graced by Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) V. K. Jain, as the chief guest, praised the initiative’s focus on integrating yoga with environmental consciousness. He was accompanied by key dignitaries, including:
