TMIF Hosts Workshop to Help Innovators Develop Winning Startup Proposals
Moradabad, July 21, 2026: Teerthanker Mahaveer Innovation Foundation (TMIF) organised an online workshop on “Proposal Development & Mentoring: Transforming Innovative Ideas into Winning Startup Proposals” on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. Conducted through Zoom from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM, the workshop focused on creating awareness about MSME Idea Hackathon 6.0 and equipping aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge required to develop effective startup proposals and access government support.
The session featured Mr Anuj Kumar, Joint Commissioner, Industries, Agra Division, as the expert resource person. He provided participants with practical insights into MSME schemes, credit-linked financial assistance, subsidies, loan guarantees and support mechanisms available to emerging entrepreneurs and innovators.
53 Participants Attend the Online Mentoring Session
The workshop witnessed participation from 53 attendees, including 40 students, 5 faculty members and 8 external participants. The session provided a platform for participants to understand how innovative ideas can be structured into viable business proposals while making effective use of government schemes and institutional incubation support.
Ms Jyoti Madan, Incubation Manager, and Mr Deepak Jain, Deputy Incubation Manager, coordinated the programme.
Understanding MSME Schemes and Government Support
A major focus of the workshop was to familiarise participants with government initiatives designed to support entrepreneurs, MSMEs and early-stage businesses.
Mr Anuj Kumar discussed various financial assistance programmes and explained how entrepreneurs can identify appropriate schemes according to their business requirements. The session covered PMEGP, CGTMSE and One District One Product (ODOP) support mechanisms, along with industrial and MSME loan frameworks.
Participants were also introduced to collateral-free financing options and government-backed credit support that can help entrepreneurs access capital without relying solely on personal assets or property as security.
MSME Idea Hackathon 6.0: Key Innovation Themes
The expert briefing highlighted six major focus areas under the innovation and technology ecosystem:

The discussion encouraged students and innovators to explore technology-driven solutions addressing real-world industrial and societal challenges.
Insights into PMEGP and Startup Financing
The workshop provided participants with an overview of the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and its role in supporting new entrepreneurial ventures.
Mr Anuj Kumar explained the credit-linked subsidy mechanism and discussed project support limits applicable to manufacturing and service-sector ventures, along with the applicable subsidy structure.
The session also covered the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) and its role in facilitating collateral-free credit support for eligible enterprises.
ODOP Support for Local Industries
The One District One Product (ODOP) initiative was another important area of discussion. Participants learned about financial assistance and margin-money subsidy mechanisms aimed at strengthening local industries.
The discussion was particularly relevant to the Moradabad region, where brassware is a prominent traditional product. The session highlighted how innovation and modern technology can be integrated with traditional manufacturing to improve productivity, competitiveness and market opportunities.
From Innovative Ideas to Viable Business Proposals
A central objective of the workshop was to help participants understand how a creative or research-based idea can be transformed into a structured business proposal.
The expert emphasised the importance of clearly defining the problem, developing a practical solution, establishing business viability and identifying appropriate financial and institutional support.
The mentoring session also highlighted the role of incubation centres in helping innovators refine their concepts, develop proposals and navigate available funding and support mechanisms.

The workshop resulted in enhanced awareness among participants regarding startup proposal development, MSME registration, government schemes, credit-linked subsidies, collateral-free financing and incubation support.
The programme also encouraged students and innovators to explore opportunities in frontier technologies and consider entrepreneurship as a pathway for converting innovative ideas into sustainable ventures.

Participants appreciated the practical nature of the workshop and the opportunity to learn directly from an industry and government-sector expert.
Ansh Agarwal, a student participant, said that the session provided step-by-step clarity on converting a research project into an MSME proposal.
Akash Saini, another participant, highlighted the value of understanding PMEGP and CGTMSE loan guarantees, stating that the information increased confidence in pursuing startup ideas without depending entirely on collateral-based financing.
TMIF Strengthens Its Mentoring and Incubation Ecosystem
The workshop reflects TMIF's continued efforts to strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem by connecting students and emerging innovators with relevant government schemes, funding opportunities and expert mentorship.
