Teerthanker Mahaveer University Signs MoU with Aspiring Leaders India Foundation (ALIF)

Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), Moradabad, through its Centre for Teaching, Learning and Development (CTLD), organised an MoU signing ceremony and orientation session with Aspiring Leaders India Foundation (ALIF) on 19 February 2026. The initiative was undertaken under the guidance of Executive Director Shri Akshat Jain, aiming to strengthen leadership development, global exposure, and employability-focused skill enhancement among students.
About Aspiring Leaders India Foundation (ALIF)
Aspiring Leaders India Foundation (ALIF), backed by Harvard Business School Professors, is a global leadership development initiative that connects first-generation learners and talented students to international leadership platforms. The collaboration is designed to expand students’ access to global mentorship, structured leadership training, and international alumni networks.
Orientation Session at Medical Lecture Theatre
The programme commenced with an orientation session held at the Medical Lecture Theatre, where approximately 300 students from various faculties of the University participated.
The session was addressed by Shri Vignesh P., Lead – Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Alumni Engagement, Aspire India, as the Resource Person. In his address, he highlighted the importance of global leadership competencies, innovation-driven education, and technology-enabled learning models. He emphasised that today’s students must evolve beyond being knowledge recipients and become leaders of change.
He further stated that the purpose of education in the present era extends beyond earning degrees. It includes developing leadership capacity, social responsibility, and a global outlook. He elaborated on AI-based learning, community leadership, innovation, and modern academic models that enhance learning outcomes, encouraging students to identify opportunities and prepare themselves for the future.
Formal MoU Signing Ceremony
Following the orientation session, the formal MoU signing between Aspiring Leaders India Foundation (ALIF) and Teerthanker Mahaveer University was conducted.

- Representatives from the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Management
Through this collaboration, students will receive opportunities for global mentorship, leadership training, career guidance, and access to international alumni networks.
Leadership Vision from University Authorities
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) V. K. Jain stated that the University’s objective is not only to educate students but to develop them into responsible global citizens and capable leaders.
Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) Manjula Jain highlighted that industry–academic collaborations serve as effective platforms for imparting real-life skills and align strongly with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP).
Director, CTLD Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kumar Singh described the collaboration as a significant step toward connecting students with leadership training, international networking, mentorship, and employment-oriented opportunities.
Round Table Discussion on Future Skills
After the MoU signing, a Round Table Discussion was held in the University Committee Room with senior academic leadership. The discussion centred on the theme:
“Empowering First Generation Leadership, Employability & Future Skills.”
The discussion focused on strengthening leadership among first-generation learners and preparing students for global competitiveness through future-ready skill development.

The CTLD team successfully coordinated the programme. This initiative reflects Teerthanker Mahaveer University’s visionary academic commitment to preparing students for global competition by nurturing leadership capabilities, innovation, and future-readiness.
The MoU with ALIF marks a strategic step toward enhancing global exposure, structured mentorship, and employability-driven learning pathways for TMU students, reinforcing the University’s focus on leadership development and international collaboration.
