SpeechMaster 3.0 at TMU Elevates Communication Excellence and Student Confidence
Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, concluded the successful edition of SpeechMaster 3.0, organised by the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Development (CTLD) from 14 October to 13 November 2025. The month-long programme witnessed remarkable participation from students across multiple departments, all showcasing their proficiency in public speaking and communication.
Inaugural Ceremony Marks a Promising Start
The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and Saraswati Vandana, attended by esteemed dignitaries, including Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kumar Singh and Dr Nishith Kumar Mishra.
Addressing the students, Prof. (Dr.) Singh emphasised the importance of public speaking as an exceptional and transformative skill. He highlighted that SpeechMaster is designed to prepare students for real-world communication demands and to refine their professional effectiveness.
Competition Highlights and Evaluation Process
The competition was judged by Mr Taksh Kumar and Dr Neha Anand, who commended the participants for their confidence, fluency, articulation, and stage presence.
- 315 students enrolled in the competition.
- 36 finalists were shortlisted for the final round.
- Finalists received their speaking topics just four minutes before stepping onto the stage, a format intended to test:
- Quick analytical thinking
- Logical structuring of ideas
- Spontaneous yet coherent presentation
The challenge served as a practical test of composure and clarity under pressure, mirroring real-life professional scenarios.
Transforming Student Confidence and Overcoming Glossophobia
A key objective of SpeechMaster 3.0 was to help students overcome glossophobia, the fear of public speaking. The programme proved significant in boosting students’ confidence by offering a supportive environment for practice, feedback, and improvement.
Motivating the participants, Mr Taksh Kumar noted that competitions like SpeechMaster play a crucial role in strengthening communication competence, leadership potential, and professional presentation skills, aligning students with industry expectations.
Echoing similar thoughts, Dr Neha Anand stated that the initiative aligns with TMU’s academic vision of integrating knowledge with essential life skills. She appreciated the students’ linguistic abilities, confidence, and clarity of thought.

The event concluded with the announcement of the top performers:
- 1st Place: Samriddhi Sharma
- 2nd Place: Atinder Kumar Jha
- 3rd Place: Manya Sharma
Their performances reflected not only academic excellence but also strong personal development skills nurtured through the programme.
