Piyush Goyal Meets TMU Chancellor Suresh Jain During Entrepreneur Dialogue in New Delhi
Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), Moradabad, recorded a significant representation during a high-level Entrepreneur and Business Dialogue organised at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi. The meeting was convened on the invitation of Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, and chaired by Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister for Industrial Development, Shri Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’.
The session aimed to facilitate collaborative discussions between the government and leading industrialists to strengthen India’s industrial ecosystem, promote business growth, and address challenges faced by entrepreneurs across the country.
TMU’s delegation included Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain, Group Vice Chairman Shri Manish Jain, and Executive Director Shri Akshat Jain, who actively engaged in the dialogue alongside renowned entrepreneurs, industry experts, and policymakers from across India.
Focus on Industrial Promotion and National Economic Growth
The dialogue centred around strategies to promote industrial development, remove barriers to entrepreneurship, and accelerate India’s economic progress. Entrepreneurs shared ground-level challenges, while the ministers assured actionable interventions to streamline industrial facilitation.
Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain conveyed TMU’s commitment to strengthening India’s higher education ecosystem. He assured that the university is dedicated to providing world-class education within the country so that Indian students no longer feel compelled to pursue higher studies abroad. His remarks received positive acknowledgement from both ministers.
Piyush Goyal Highlights India’s Youth Power and Praises Akshat Jain
In a personal interaction with the TMU leadership, Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal emphasised India’s demographic advantage and the central role of youth leadership in the nation’s growth vision for 2047. Expressing admiration for TMU Executive Director Shri Akshat Jain, he observed:
“India, unlike Japan, is a young country. The responsibility of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047 rests on the shoulders of dynamic young leaders like Akshat Jain. Our hopes for industrial and educational advancement lie with such energetic youth.”
Shri Goyal appeared delighted to meet Shri Akshat Jain, who was notably the youngest entrepreneur present at the event. The minister stressed the importance of involving young professionals in driving innovation, entrepreneurship, and educational excellence.
TMU Leadership Presents University’s Growth Journey and Future Roadmap
During the discussions, GVC Shri Manish Jain and ED Shri Akshat Jain provided a comprehensive overview of TMU’s evolution over the years, highlighting strategic initiatives undertaken to strengthen academic quality, innovation, and community development.
ED Shri Akshat Jain detailed TMU’s commitment to:
- Enhancing research and innovation ecosystems
- Promoting start-up culture among students
- Expanding global collaborations
- Integrating advanced learning technologies
- Strengthening industry-academia linkages
He also emphasised TMU’s social responsibility initiatives, stating that the university invests nearly ₹25 crore annually in scholarships and healthcare services, ensuring equitable access to education and medical support.
Chancellor Introduces TMU’s Young Leadership
Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain formally introduced ED Shri Akshat Jain to the dignitaries, sharing that after completing his UG and PG education abroad, he has returned with a mission to elevate TMU to global standards. His leadership is focused on shaping TMU into a hub of international academic excellence, innovation, and industry relevance.
The ministerial panel appreciated TMU’s vision and the contribution of its young leadership in strengthening India’s education and innovation landscape.

Closing the session on a cordial note, Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain extended a formal invitation to Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal and UP Industrial Development Minister Shri Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ to visit Teerthanker Mahaveer University. He expressed that such a visit would not only inspire students but also reinforce TMU’s commitment to national development goals.
