Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates seeking admission to the PhD programme shall fulfil the eligibility criteria as per the Second Amendment in the PhD Ordinance-2021 of the University (refer to www.tmu.ac.in).
Application Process for PhD Admission
Admission Guidelines
- Eligible candidates will be required to appear in the written test – the TMU Research Aptitude Test (TRAT).
- An interview for admission will be conducted by the university for PhD admission.
- If the candidate passes the UGC-NET/CSIR-NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/GPAT/Teacher fellowship holder or has passed the M.Phil. programme, they are exempted from the first stage process of TRAT (written test).
Research Fellowship
- The University offers a research fellowship of Rs. 25,000 per month in all faculties except Medicine.
- For the faculty of Medicine, it is Rs. 30,000 per month.
