National Seminar: College of Law discusses Women's Role in Society

March 8, 2023. Teerthanker Mahaveer University's College of Law and Legal Studies organised a one-day national seminar on the role of society in women's empowerment. It was held on the occasion of International Women's Day on the Moot Court premises of Law College. Students, faculty, and distinguished guests shared their insights on women's empowerment. Dr. Shefali Singh, President of the District Panchayat, was the chief guest on this occasion.

Dean, Faculty of Law, Prof (Dr) Harbansh Dixit initiated the seminar by sharing his thoughts on the relevance and importance of women's empowerment in society. He later emphasised the role of women's education as a tool for bridging gaps and promoting national prosperity.

Following this, Dr. Shefali Singh, President, of District Panchayat, Moradabad, was the chief guest for the event. In her speech, she emphasised the importance of real empowerment and discussed how society treats women in the real world. According to Dr. Shefali, true empowerment is about including those who are often neglected in the decision-making process. As she concluded her remarks, she emphasised the importance of women's inclusion in top management positions.

Prof. Akshay Bhargava of CLLS, hosted the seminar, while Prof. (Dr) Sushil Kumar Singh, the Principal, gave the vote of thanks. The event was a great success, and the students, including the faculty, gained valuable insights.
