Mission Shakti 5.0 Seminar at TMU: Strengthening Women’s Safety Awareness
Moradabad, [Date] – Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) successfully hosted a seminar on Mission Shakti 5.0, focusing on women’s safety, health, and empowerment. The program, aligned with the Government of Uttar Pradesh’s Mission Shakti initiative, aimed to sensitise students and staff about preventive measures, legal protections, and available government support systems.
Objective of the Program
The primary objectives of the seminar were:
- To create awareness about women’s safety, rights, and empowerment among students and faculty.
- To educate participants on preventive measures, legal safeguards, and gender sensitivity, fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment.
Program Activities
Seminar on Mission Shakti 5.0: Strengthening the Shield of Women's Safety
The session commenced with a warm welcome of dignitaries, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
- Mrs Priya Agarwal addressed the audience on the importance of women’s empowerment, community support, and government initiatives under the Mission Shakti program.
- Mrs Sunita, representing the police department, discussed practical safety measures, emergency helpline numbers, and steps young women can take to stay safe in their daily routines.
Their speeches inspired participants, encouraging them to be aware, responsible, and empowered citizens.
