International Conference at TMU Showcases Global Insights on Education, Leadership and Technology

The Centre for Teaching, Learning and Development (CTLD) of TMU successfully organised a two-day online international conference on the theme “Transforming Learning, Leadership and Development in a Rapidly Changing World” on May 12 and 13, 2026.

The conference was conducted in collaboration with the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD) and witnessed participation from academicians, industry experts, researchers and students from India, the USA, the UAE, and other countries. Around 500 participants joined the event over two days.

Reputed institutions such as IILM University, Greater Noida, IMS Unison University Dehradun, MIT World Peace University Pune, and Adobe Systems India Pvt. Ltd. actively participated in discussions and knowledge sharing.

Insights from Eminent Speakers

The conference became a major platform for exchanging ideas on education, leadership, technology and skill development. Around 500 participants attended the conference, while 68 experts delivered sessions and shared their valuable experiences and perspectives.

The event began with Saraswati Vandana. Director of CTLD, Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kumar Singh stated that modern education was no longer limited to providing knowledge only but also focused on developing leadership qualities and a global outlook among students. Dean Academics, Prof. (Dr.) Manjula Jain emphasised the need to improve teaching methods according to changing global requirements. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) V. K. Jain highlighted the importance of stronger coordination between education, industry and research.

The chief guest, Mr Prem Singh, President-Group HR at JK Organisation, spoke about the growing importance of leadership skills, ethics and emotional intelligence along with technical expertise for today’s youth. ISTD National President Mr Atul Shah described continuous learning as the key to professional excellence. Former IIM Ahmedabad alumnus and consultant Mr Nayan Parikh explained that leadership was the ability to recognise the strengths of others and inspire them to achieve success.

International Speakers Highlighted AI, Automation and Digital Skills

Several international speakers added global value to the International Conference through their insightful sessions. Mr Himanshu J. C. Wadia, Director at Amdocs UAE/Middle East Region, discussed the increasing role of Artificial Intelligence and automation in transforming industries and workplaces. Ms Bhoomika Shah, Data Solution Engineer at the University of the Cumberlands, USA, shared her views on data analytics, digital competencies and future-ready skills.

The conference also featured technical sessions on technology, innovation, leadership, sustainability, global collaboration and skill development. National speakers, including Prof. (Dr.) Surendra Singh, Dr Aparna Singh, Mr Anant Agrawal, Dr Navdeep Kaur Saluja, Mr Sudhir Chandra Jain and Ms Ankita Sharma enriched the participants with their expertise and experiences.

Sessions and Academic Engagement

The conference featured four major technical sessions covering themes such as technology, innovation, research, skills development, employability, leadership in a disruptive era, learning transformation, and sustainability.

Research paper presentations from participants across India and abroad provided an excellent platform to share findings, exchange ideas, and receive valuable feedback from global experts. This helped in strengthening academic collaboration and knowledge sharing among researchers, teachers, and industry professionals.

During the concluding session, Deputy Director of CTLD and conference coordinator Dr Dilip Dutt Varshney said that the conference would serve as a strong bridge between education, industry and research. The event was anchored by Nidhi Gupta, while co-coordinator Mr Ritu Rajan and members of the organising committee played an important role in making the conference successful.
