Human Rights Day Celebration by NSS Wing, TMU

Human Rights Day is celebrated on the 10th of December every year to commemorate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), which was adopted and proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1948 as the shared standard yardstick to protect human rights across the globe. The theme decided by the United Nations for this year?s Human Rights Day focuses on " EQUALITY - Reducing Inequalities, Advancing Human rights".

The National Service Scheme Unit of TMU along with the Faculty of Education and College of Nursing celebrated this day by organising an essay writing competition keeping in mind the above theme in the University Campus. Apart from this, to educate the local citizens as well as the University students, the Nukkad Natak was conducted by the NSS students both in and outside the University Campus.

This was a great learning experience for the students.
