Hindi Diwas Celebrated with Literary Talk on ‘Today’s Youth and Hindi Literature’ at TMU
Teerthanker Mahaveer University celebrated Hindi Diwas with a special literary talk organised by the Faculty of Education. The programme focused on the theme ‘Today’s Youth and Hindi Literature’ and aimed to develop interest, emotional connection and pride towards the Hindi language and literature among students.
Literary Talk on Youth and Hindi Literature
The literary talk was attended by students and faculty members of the Faculty of Education. Dr Pradeep Kumar Sharma, retired lecturer at K.G.K. College, Moradabad, and a noted literature and culture enthusiast, was the main speaker at the programme.
Dr Sharma spoke about the changing relationship between young people and literature. He said that the digital age had changed the forms and platforms through which literature was created and shared, but its relevance had remained important. He encouraged students to connect with Hindi literature and relate it to their lives and social surroundings.
He also discussed the growing role of technology and digital platforms in the lives of young people. He explained that interest in literature could be developed by connecting it with new digital platforms and forms of communication.
According to him, literature not only improved language and communication skills but also helped people understand society, culture and human emotions.
Students Presented Creative Performances
The programme also included several literary and cultural performances by students. Students presented poems, stories and dance performances, which added creativity and energy to the event.
Shankar Shah, Dipanshi, Tushar, Parv Jain, Khushi, Anurag Dixit, Purvi, Chandni, Kashish and Ilisha presented their creative performances. Their participation received appreciation from the audience and made the Hindi Diwas celebration engaging and memorable.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Poonam Chauhan, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Education. Vivek Oberoi, a B.A.-B.Ed. student, and Purnima, a B.Sc.-B.Ed. student, conducted the stage proceedings.
Faculty Members Attended the Programme
Several faculty members of the Faculty of Education attended the programme. Dr. Poonam Chauhan, Dr. Sunil Pandey, Dr. Ruby Sharma, Dr. Arpita Tripathi, Dr. Sugandha Jain, Mrs. Shivangi, Dr. Pavas, Dr. Ranjit Singh, Dr. Mukta, Mr. Mahesh Kumar, Dr. Nahid, Dr. Dharmendra, Dr. Shaili Jain and Dr. Harsh were among those present.
At the end of the programme, Dr. Vinod Kumar Jain, Principal, Faculty of Education, delivered the vote of thanks. He appreciated the active participation and literary talent of the students and encouraged them to remain connected with the Hindi language and literature.
Conclusion
The Hindi Diwas literary talk provided students with an opportunity to explore the importance of Hindi literature in the digital age. The discussions and creative performances encouraged students to express themselves through language and literature while developing a stronger connection with Hindi.
