Dr. Naidu, the spokesperson of the guest lecture, holds vast experience in both Academia and Industry at the National and International Levels. The New Curriculum (CBME) of NMC came into force from 2019, where much emphasis is given to self-directed learning; hence the frequent organization of such discussions with experts remains relevant at TMU's Medical institute as well as other subsidiary colleges.

Initiatives of Guest lectures, workshops, student exchange, competitions, and interactive learnings are a few of the curriculum models through which the teaching at TMU is tailored to be unique.

'Personalized Medicine' topic is relatively new for students and is perceived to be of enormous difficulty by the MBBS Students in learning some core topic. Dr. M U R Naidu highlighted the important areas of focus for the student and explained the basic concepts of Personalized Medicine with a focus on areas of 'must know' by the students. He also highlighted how incoming times are exploring individualized therapy as one of the major avenues. So the necessity to think beyond the concept of 'one dose fits all is important.

The topic was received very well by the session participants and provided an impetus to self-directed learning. A Question-Answer session was conducted upon which a vote of thanks concluded the lecture.
