Guest Lecture on Basis of Cardiovascular Pharmacology by Dr. Sachin Kuchya

Cardiovascular diseases are a growing concern for health experts. WHO and similar organizations are raising awareness via multiple initiatives to reduce the risks and death toll growing because of people falling prey to CVD. Owing to this, TMU's Department of Pharmacology, TMMC&RC, conducted a guest lecture on the Cardiovascular Pharmacology topic on 12.06.2021, with Dr. Sachin Kuchya, Prof & Head, Department of Pharmacology, NSCB Medical College & Hospital, Jabalpur, as the guest faculty.

Dr. Prithpal Singh Matreja, Prof & Head, Dept. of Pharmacology, orchestrated the guest lecture model of learning to establish healthy learning and discussions amongst the students. Cardiovascular Pharmacology is a vast topic, and with the growing concerns of CVD amongst the people, MBBS Students should be through with the concepts.

Dr. Sachin Kuchya highlighted the critical areas of focus, basic concepts of Cardiovascular Pharmacology for the students, along with the crucial concepts. The session was quite detailed and assisted the students in understanding the topic very well.

The Webinar was also attended by the NSCB Medical College & Hospital students, which gave them an insight into how to approach the topic and provide an impetus for self-directed learning. Faculty of the Department of Pharmacology of TMMC&RC Dr. Shilpa Patrick, Dr. Preeti Singh, Dr. Ruchi Choudhary, and Mr. Lalendra Yadav attended the session as well, along with the students.

The session concluded with clearing the doubts of any raised questions. The session proved very useful for the students and their learning journey.
