Doctors at TMU Hospital Created a Rare Medical Success Story!

The team of doctors at Teerthanker Mahaveer University Hospital has successfully managed an extremely complex and high-risk pregnancy, setting a remarkable example in the medical field. A woman from Obri village in the Sambhal district safely delivered four babies, making the case highly rare and medically challenging. What made the case even more exceptional was that all four babies were in separate sacs, and all deliveries were conducted through normal vaginal delivery.

According to the doctors, such cases are extremely uncommon and medically challenging because both the mother and babies are at serious risk during pregnancy.

Doctors Monitored the Pregnancy from an Early Stage

In the second month of pregnancy, doctors discovered that Amina was carrying four babies. Due to the complexity of the case, doctors initially suggested fetal reduction to reduce medical risks. However, the family decided to continue with all four babies and trusted the hospital team for treatment and monitoring.

During the pregnancy, Amina also suffered from liver-related complications and high blood pressure, which made the condition even more difficult. The family regularly visited the hospital every 15 to 20 days for continuous monitoring, treatment, and medical evaluations.

The medical team kept a close watch on both the mother and the babies throughout the pregnancy. Doctors stated that continuous monitoring played a major role in the successful outcome of this pregnancy.

On May 8, Amina experienced labour pain and was admitted to the hospital. On May 9, she delivered the first baby, a boy, through normal delivery. The baby weighed around 710 grams at birth. Doctors managed to stabilise the condition and delayed the remaining deliveries because the pregnancy had reached only around six and a half to seven months.

A few days later, Amina again experienced labour pain and was rushed to TMU Hospital. Doctors successfully conducted three more normal deliveries, including one baby boy and two baby girls.

Currently, all four babies are under medical supervision. Doctors shared that one baby was completely stable, while two babies required special neonatal care. Despite the challenges, the medical team remained positive about the babies’ recovery.

The entire treatment and monitoring process was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Shubhra Agrawal, Dr. Purti, Dr. Roli, Dr. Monica, along with several doctors and staff members of the hospital. Doctors stated that the case was medically very challenging, but timely treatment, continuous monitoring, and strong family support helped ensure a successful outcome.

Family Thanked Doctors and Hospital Staff

The babies’ father, Mohammad Alim, thanked the hospital staff and said that he had trusted the hospital from the beginning because a previous delivery in his family had also been handled there successfully. Family members also appreciated the doctors for providing proper medicines, regular guidance, and emotional support throughout the pregnancy.

Hospital administration described the achievement as an excellent example of teamwork, advanced medical management, and patient-centric care under the leadership and support of Hospital Director Ajay Garg, Chief Manager Vaibhav Jain, and Anil Gupta.

The successful handling of this high-risk pregnancy at TMU Hospital has become an outstanding example of advanced medical care, teamwork, and patient dedication. Doctors described the case as one of the rarest and most difficult pregnancies because all four babies were delivered normally despite severe complications. The achievement highlighted the expertise of the hospital’s medical team and their commitment to saving both the mother and the babies in critical situations.
