CTLD Organised Multi-Session Hospital Staff Training Programme for Service Excellence
The Centre for Teaching, Learning and Development (CTLD) at TMU successfully organised the Multi-Session Hospital Staff Training Programme from 1st May to 30th May 2026. The programme was conducted to improve communication, teamwork, patient engagement, and professional behaviour among hospital staff. The initiative supported TMU Hospital's vision of delivering high-quality, patient-centred healthcare while following NABH quality standards.
Hospital Staff Participated in Practical Learning Sessions
The programme brought together participants from different departments, including Hospital Services, Nursing, Administration, Front Office, and Support Services. Throughout the month, the participants attended interactive training sessions designed to improve their workplace skills.
The sessions included role plays, demonstrations, case discussions, and group activities. These practical learning methods helped the participants understand how to communicate effectively, work as a team, and handle different situations in a professional manner. The training also encouraged active participation and knowledge sharing among staff members.
Focus on Communication and Teamwork
A major part of the programme focused on improving communication skills. The participants attended sessions on Telephone Etiquette, Complaint Handling, Effective Communication, and Professional Communication.
These sessions helped them learn how to interact politely with patients and their families, respond to concerns calmly, and maintain professionalism during daily hospital operations. The programme also highlighted the importance of teamwork, coordination, and collaborative problem-solving to provide better healthcare services.
Sessions Encouraged Compassionate Care and Leadership
The training programme was conducted by experienced faculty members and trainers, including Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kumar Singh, Dr Jasmine Stephen, Dr Dilip Dutt Varshney, Mr Jatin Dua, Ms Mani Saraswat, and Ms Nidhi Gupta.
The resource persons shared practical knowledge and real-life examples to help participants understand the importance of compassionate care, empathy, leadership, and professional service behaviour. Their sessions encouraged hospital staff to build stronger relationships with patients while maintaining high standards of healthcare services.
Positive Response from Participants
The programme received excellent participation and positive feedback from staff members throughout the month. Participants appreciated the interactive learning methods and the practical knowledge they gained during the sessions. The training enhanced their confidence and prepared them to provide better patient care through improved communication and teamwork.
Conclusion
The programme concluded successfully on 30th May 2026. The month-long initiative strengthened the professional skills of hospital staff by focusing on communication, teamwork, leadership, empathy, and patient-centred care. Through this programme, CTLD once again demonstrated its commitment to continuous learning and supported TMU Hospital's mission of delivering quality healthcare services with excellence.
